Day 1 of 3 of our trip to @disneyland is up on my channel!!
Take a peek to see how the first 5 min of our drive went (😫), what we packed, what we ate, and what the hotel and downtown Disney were like!!

He was practically a baby himself when we had our first baby, but I always knew he’d be the most incredible, selfless dad. What I didn’t know was how patient he would be, and how wonderful he’d be at reasoning with our kids and getting them to think critically. And how empathetic he would be, while also keeping a level head and somehow miraculously preventing meltdowns. Or how much I’d learn from him over the years while watching his interactions and wanting to be more like him.
We’re the luckiest to have you Ry. Even though you’ll never see this because you refuse to use social media. 🤣

We headed to #Disneyland while it was at 25% capacity and California residents only, and it was the most magical time. Check out the video and come along with us as we visit some of our old favorites, make some fun new memories, and navigate eating gluten-free at the happiest place on earth!
Also did anyone catch Easton’s “low” of the day in part 1?! 🤣

Does your Instant Pot stink like bone broth or whatever meat you cooked in it last? Or is your ring dyed yellowish brown?
Here’s how to give it a deep clean!
The foam paint brushes and some good old fashion sunlight are the key! 🤗

I could go to the cemetery every year on this day, but my heart is never drawn there. I actually rarely go. I just don’t feel her presence there.
Where I do go year after year, is to these trees. To hike the hillsides covered in oaks. I’ve been coming here since she was still rolling around and kicking inside of me, and come every year on this day for the past 6 to just be with her in the quiet.
I sat on these hills during those first few months hoping to never return home. To just disappear and have the pain disappear with me. But I made my way home eventually for them. For Ryan and Asher. And for her. To make her proud of me for getting through it and surviving.
Now, I hike these hills every year to celebrate all that she has taught me. The resilience she forced me to acquire. And I stare up at these green billows of trees that blanket an otherwise brown hillside and realize how resilient they are. Oaks rarely fall. And when they do, they sow hundreds of new acorns into the ground to become new life, new shelter and shade for the wildlife, and a continuing symbol of strength. It was no mistake that we chose her name before we knew what we would face.
This year has felt lighter. I didn’t suddenly get depressed at the end of May as I saw her day approaching on the calendar. And I didn’t check out and go numb this week leading up to it. Every year seems to be getting a tiny bit easier, and I will keep amassing those tiny bits, until they form a whole – the day I finally get to be with her again.
Happy 7th birthday sweet girl. We will celebrate you with pizza and cupcakes like we do every year. Your baby sister will say she misses you even though she’s never met you, and ask how you can hear us singing Happy Birthday to you. And she’ll tell me she thinks you’re having cake with Jesus and all your friends. And that it’s really cool that you don’t ever have to go to bed or clean up your room ☺️
Missing you always and forever.
love, Mom
NEW! We’ve been working on this full guide to non-toxic cookware for months and it’s live!
But first, thank you for all of your kind words yesterday, and for sharing your unique, but familiar stories with me. 🤍
Eating real, fresh food requires a little more effort than fast food and take-out, which means you will be putting your kitchen supplies to work. In my opinion, quality non-Toxic cookware is well worth the investment. If you have been overwhelmed about which pots and pans to purchase, this blog post is for you!
