Heat the avocado oil in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the onions and salt. Reduce to low and caramelize the onions for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool.
Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and white pepper in a bowl. Stir in the caramelized onions. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Chill for an hour before serving. The flavors get better and better each day for the first couple of days! Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
